General project objective:
Establishing a sustainable and impactful European digital innovation hub in the Republic of Moldova, offering tailored services to support the digital transformation of businesses and public organizations. The hub will also connect Moldova to the EDIH network (European Digital Innovation Hubs), placing it on the map of innovation and digitalisation across Europe.
Main services of DIH of Moldova:
- Strengthening national innovation ecosystems;
- Testing technologies prior to investment;
- Building digital skills across the public and private sectors;
- Facilitating access to national and European funding.
Hygia involvement:
Our involvement in this project draws on two complementary strengths: the expertise built through our work in Romania and our direct on-the-ground presence through our Chișinău-based team - Hygia Consult.
We have drawn on our experience in developing and managing a strong portfolio of European-funded projects, as well as on first-hand involvement in an operational EDIH - TEDIHT (The European Digital Innovation Hub in Transylvania). Drawing on these lessons learned, we worked alongside partners to help shape the action plan for Moldova's innovation and digitalisation hub.
During the implementation phase, our Chișinău team will work directly with the beneficiary companies and public organizations. These are the activities we will be directly involved in:
1. Supporting access to funding through project development consultancy (Project Development)
2. Connecting with relevant experts and partners (Networking & Matchmaking)
3. Raising awareness and building readiness for AI adoption (AI Awareness & Readiness)
4. Mapping digitalisation needs (Digitalisation Needs Assessment)
5. Assessing digital maturity (Digital Maturity Assessment)
