General project objective:

Establishing a sustainable and impactful European digital innovation hub in the Republic of Moldova, offering tailored services to support the digital transformation of businesses and public organisations. At the same time, the hub will connect Moldova to the European EDIH network.

Main activities of DIH of Moldova:

  • Strengthening national innovation ecosystems;
  • Testing technologies prior to investment;
  • Building digital skills across the public and private sectors;
  • Facilitating access to national and European funding.

Hygia involvement:

Our involvement in this project operates on two complementary levels: the expertise built through developing and managing EU-funded projects, and the presence of our Chișinău-based team - Hygia Consult.

In the initial stages, we contributed to shaping the action plan for the Digital Innovation Hub of the Republic of Moldova, drawing on our experience working within TEDIHT - The European Digital Innovation Hub in Transilvania.

During implementation, our Chișinău team will work directly with companies and public organizations, who will have access to the following support:

  1. Digital Needs Assessment - evaluating digital maturity levels and prioritizing next steps;
  2. Connection with Experts and Partners - identifying the right providers and collaborators and facilitating relevant meetings;
  3. AI Adoption Readiness - practical awareness sessions and assessment of readiness for AI adoption;
  4. Project Development - guidance in turning a digitalization idea into a concrete, fundable project.
